These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Granny Square Designer mobile application (the “App”) provided by LT Studio s.r.o. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the App, you confirm you meet this minimum age.

2. License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial planning and designing of crochet projects. You agree not to:

• copy, extract, scrape, download, or reproduce any photos, diagrams, icons, or other content from the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms;
• share, publish, distribute, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize exported PDFs or any of their components;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to access the App’s source code, algorithms, or databases except as allowed by mandatory law;
• bypass technical measures, misuse the App, or use it in a manner that infringes intellectual property or violates applicable law.

We may update, modify or discontinue certain features of the App at any time, provided that such changes do not unlawfully deprive you of already purchased content or statutory rights.

3. What You May Do With the App
The App is designed for planning and designing crochet projects (especially granny squares). You can:

• choose square designs from a library;
• assign colours and get yarn usage estimates;
• export personal crochet guides in PDF (photo preview, diagram, written pattern, yarn summary);
• create and sell your finished handmade crochet products based on your own work.

Some basic features of the App may be available without creating an account. However, certain functions – such as exporting PDFs, syncing your projects, or starting a paid subscription – require registration and a valid email address.

Important restrictions: You may not share, publish, distribute, or sell the App’s exported diagrams, patterns, photos, or any visual/structural content from the App, nor claim them as your own, nor use them for public promotion, tutorials, books, marketplaces, or similar commercial uses.

Note: Final measurements and yarn usage may vary depending on your personal gauge/tension, hook size, and yarn selection.

4. Intellectual Property
All content in the App—including square designs, diagrams, icons, interface visuals, sample projects, and branding—is owned by LT Studio s.r.o. or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Any rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your content: Photos of your own handmade items that you create outside the App are yours. However, you may not use App assets (diagrams, photos, UI visuals, exported PDFs or their parts) in public posts, tutorials, books, or commercial materials.

5. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers a free version and paid subscriptions (monthly, half-year, yearly). Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms and policies.

Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.

Managing/cancelling
Manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. To avoid renewal, cancel before the end of the current period (store-specific deadlines apply).

Trials & refunds
If a trial or refund is available, it is provided exclusively via App Store or Google Play under their policies. LT Studio s.r.o. does not process payments or refunds directly.

Pricing
Pricing shown in the App or on our website is for convenience; the price charged by the relevant App Store at purchase governs.

Access to certain features (for example PDF export or access to the full square library) may be conditional on having an active subscription and/or an account.

6. Data and Privacy
You can explore certain basic features of the App without creating an account. To use some functions (such as exporting PDFs or starting a subscription), registration and a valid email address are required.

Upon registration we collect basic account information (currently: email address, app language, crochet terminology language, and measuring system). Additional technical and usage data may be processed when you use the App, including in guest mode, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of your relationship with us. The Privacy Policy explains in more detail:

• what data we process (including technical and usage data, analytics events and identifiers),
• for which purposes and on what legal bases,
• how long we keep data,
• which processors and third-party providers we use (for example analytics and campaign measurement tools such as Google Firebase or, where used, advertising SDKs), and
• how you can exercise your data protection rights and control tracking (including through device settings such as Apple’s App Tracking Transparency or Android advertising ID settings).

The App does not include community features or messaging and we do not send newsletters. We may send essential service or safety notices where strictly necessary (for example information about security issues or material changes to these Terms or the App), in line with applicable law.

7. Yarn Calculator & Sizing Disclaimer
Yarn consumption and sizing estimates are based on standard stitch data and your inputs. Actual results may vary due to individual tension/gauge, hook size, yarn type/weight, fibre content, and stitch technique.

Estimates do not include yarn for joining, borders, handles, linings, or additional modifications.

For best results, we recommend checking your gauge swatch and ensuring hook–yarn compatibility (using the hook size appropriate for the yarn weight).

We are not responsible for differences between estimated and actual yarn usage or final measurements.

8. Community and Sharing
The App itself has no public sharing. You are welcome to share photos of your own finished handmade products on social media or your website. You may not present exported designs, diagrams, or visuals from the App as your original content, nor upload or distribute our App assets on any platform.

9. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate third-party services (e.g., platform services, analytics, crash reporting, and, where used, advertising or campaign measurement SDKs) governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Examples include Apple and Google platform services, Google Firebase Analytics, and, where used, advertising platforms such as Meta.

These third parties may process technical and usage data, including device identifiers and app events, as described in our Privacy Policy. App Store and Google Play terms apply to all purchases.

We are not responsible for such services or their availability. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their applicable terms and privacy notices, and you can control certain types of tracking via in-app prompts and your device or account settings.

10. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate access to the App (in whole or part) if you breach these Terms, to comply with law, or for security/operational reasons. You may stop using the App at any time and can uninstall it from your device. Termination does not affect accrued rights.

11. Changes to the App or These Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-App and/or by email (if appropriate). The Last updated date will reflect the latest revision. Where required by law, we will seek your consent or ask you to accept the updated Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” including potential variations in final measurements due to user gauge/tension, hook size, and yarn selection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LT Studio s.r.o. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability to you for claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid for the App within the three (3) months preceding the claim (or €0 if you only used the free version). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations—those limits apply only to the extent permitted.

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections of your local jurisdiction remain unaffected where applicable.

15. Account Deletion
In-app deletion
If your account was created in the App, you can initiate account and associated data deletion directly in the App (Settings → Account → Delete account).

Effect of deletion
Deleting your account does not cancel your App Store / Google Play subscription. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription in your Apple ID / Google Play settings before the current period renews.

Data handling
Upon account deletion we will delete personal data associated with your account without undue delay, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g., tax/transaction records) or that we may retain to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; such data will be restricted to those purposes only. Backups may persist for a limited period until they cycle out.

Verification & requests
We may require you to verify your identity or your ownership of the account before completing deletion. You can also request deletion via our web form or by email at privacy@grannysquaredesigner.com.

Irreversibility
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
